Welcome to Churchill Chums
Churchill Chums Childcare Centre provides full-time care for children aged 0-10 years old. We are conveniently located within Churchill Public School in the heart of Willowdale. Licensed by the Province of Ontario, Ministry of Education, we are a non-profit Childcare Centre employing Registered Early Childhood Educators (RECEs), and Early Childhood Assistants (ECAs). We have a Service Agreement with the City of Toronto, Children’s Services Division. The Province of Ontario and the City of Toronto provide grants, approve our operating budget and conduct yearly assessments of the Childcare Centre. Our Staff and Management are at the heart of the care and innovative curriculum we strive to provide.
Our child-centred infant, toddler, preschool, kindergarten and school age programs incorporate an environment where free play provides time for children’s choices as well as planned indoor and outdoor activities. All children receive healthy, daily snacks and lunch is provided in our infant, toddler and preschool programs.
At Churchill Chums, we’re most proud to offer:
- Bright classrooms which are equipped with floor to ceiling windows to allow for natural light.
- Healthy daily snacks and lunches (including accommodating specific dietary needs i.e. vegetarian, gluten-free and Halal/pork-free menus).
- All washrooms are outfitted with sinks and toilets at the children’s height.
- Stroller parking: leave your stroller for the day in a secure location.
- Separate pick up and drop off parking from Churchill Public School’s parking lot.
- Fenced outdoor space separated for each age group equipped with outdoor toys and learning materials.
- Languages spoken by staff:Japanese, Korean, Mandarin, Cantonese, Panjabi (Punjabi), Persian (Farsi), Sinhala (Sinhalese), Spanish and Tagalog (Pilipino, Filipino)
